Safety leadership programme

No off-the-shelf programme can transform an organisation for good. The one we build together starts from your organisation, its risks and its culture, and always begins with the executive committee.

Mikael Mourey in a working session with a group of managers

Who is it for?

  • A chief executive who wants safety to become a management issue in its own right.
  • A leadership team that has been through a serious accident, or wants to do everything to avoid one.
  • An organisation whose safety performance has stalled despite procedures, training and awareness campaigns.
  • An international group that wants managers from several countries to share the same standard.

No off-the-shelf programme can transform an organisation for good.

How the programme is built

  1. AssessmentI assess your organisation's maturity and how leadership decisions bear on safety, through interviews with executives and observation on the ground.
  2. Design, togetherWe agree the objectives, audiences and sequence together. The programme is built for your organisation, and it belongs to you.
  3. The executive committee firstMembers of the leadership team work on their own decisions, the signals they send and their presence on the ground.
  4. Then the management lineThe programme cascades down the hierarchy, as far as frontline managers if the assessment calls for it. At each level, managers understand how their decisions bear on safety and how to act.
  5. Follow-upWe look at what is changing in practice and adjust the programme along the way.

Your safety culture isn't shifting. What do you do?

I start with the leadership team

What the programme aims for

  • Executives who understand how their trade-offs bear on safety.
  • Managers who talk about safety with their teams and can hear bad news.
  • Leadership routines focused on the risks that can kill.
