Safety culture audit and maturity assessment

A two-level audit, in the boardroom and on the ground, to find out where your disaster precursors lie and where to start.

Audit report open on strengths, weaknesses and priority actions

When to ask for one

  • Before launching a transformation programme, to start from a shared diagnosis.
  • When the indicators look good and doubts remain all the same.
  • After a serious accident or a run of high-potential events.
  • When a new leader arrives and wants an independent outside view.
  • At the request of a board or one of its committees, seeking a view independent of management.

Disaster precursors rarely hide on just one floor of the organisation.

What the audit looks at

At decision-making level, I examine the place safety holds in strategy, trade-offs, the priorities given to managers and the indicators the leadership team follows.

On the ground, I look at work as it is actually done, safety routines, the quality of dialogue between managers and teams, and what people dare to say.

It is by comparing these two views that disaster precursors come to light. They rarely hide on just one floor of the organisation.

All your indicators are green. What do you do?

What you get

  • The disaster precursors that expose your organisation most, clearly identified.
  • Your level of maturity, so you know where you are starting from.
  • A prioritised roadmap to make your organisation resilient.
  • A candid debrief with your leadership team.
